South Florida Gathers Supplies And Donations To Help Haiti
MIAMI - FEBRUARY 08: Sisters Marie France (L) and Marie Verlaime pack food items into boxes after they had been dropped off at the Notre Dame d'Haiti Catholic Center where they continue to collect items to be shipped to Haiti for earthquake relief on February 8, 2010 in Miami, Florida. With thousands of people in need due to the earthquake the Haitian community in South Florida has responded by gathering food, medicine, money and other relief supplies to be sent to their homeland. As the one month anniversary of the earthquake arrives the amount of giving continues but some are afraid that as it gets farther away from the disaster date people will start to forget about the huge humanitarian needs in Haiti.
