The Philadelphia 76ers have moved the start of their National Basketball Association season-opener on Wednesday in deference to the weather-disrupted game five of the World Series.
The Sixers said Tuesday they would move up the start their contest Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors from 7 pm to 6 pm (2200 GMT).
Baseball's Philadelphia Phillies, who are one win away from their first World Series crown since 1980 and the first major sports title for Philadelphia since 1983, are to finish the suspended fifth game of the best-of-seven Series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night at home.
Heavy rain forced game five to be halted in the sixth inning on Monday with the Phillies and Rays tied at 2-2.
Poor weather meant the game was not resumed on Tuesday.
