Diamond Backs match record with 4 straight homers

The Arizona Diamondbacks have matched a major league baseball record by hitting four consecutive home runs in the fourth inning en route to an 8-2 victory over Milwaukee.

Adam LaRoche, Miguel Montero, Mark Reynolds and Stephen Drew connected in succession, making Arizon just the seventh team in baseball history to accomplish the feat.

The Diamondbacks almost made it five home runs in the inning, but Chris Young flied out to deep center field.

Milwaukee starting pitcher Dave Bush took a 2-0 lead into the fourth and retired Justin Upton on a fly ball to open the frame.

LaRoche then hit his 19th home run into the Diamondbacks' bullpen and Montero followed with a shot into the second deck of right field seats.

Reynolds came next with his 26th homer to left field. Drew capped the run with his seventh home run to right field.

Bush is the first pitcher in the majors to give up four straight home runs since the New York Yankees' Chase Wright did so against Boston on April 22, 2007.
