Philadelphia pitcher Roy Halladay threw the 20th perfect game in American baseball history, by striking out 11 batters as the Phillies edged the Florida Marlins 1-0.
It was the second perfect game in Major League Baseball in May and the first time in history there were two perfect games in the same season.
Earlier this month Dallas Braden pitched a perfect game for Oakland against Tampa Bay.
