Dan Haren pitched seven solid innings, Chad Tracy and Mark Reynolds each drove in two runs and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the San Diego Padres 7-3 Wednesday night.
Haren (11-5) gave up a leadoff home run to Jody Gerut, but went on to win his third straight start.
The NL West leaders are 5-1 on a 10-game road trip that concludes with a four-game series against the second-place Los Angeles Dodgers that begins Thursday night.
Arizona, which has won seven of nine, used a four-run fifth inning to overcome a 3-1 deficit. Tracy had the big hit with a two-run single that put the Diamondbacks ahead 5-3 and knocked Cha Seung Baek (5-3) out of the game.
Reynolds and Chris Snyder hit consecutive homers off Bryan Corey in the eighth. Tracy and Reynolds had back-to-back doubles in the second to account for a run.
Haren allowed three runs on seven hits, the first time in nine starts he has allowed more than two earned runs. He struck out six, including four of the final five batters he faced.
Gerut homered off Haren leading off the first, a night after he was robbed of an extra-base hit with the bases loaded and two outs by Alex Romero in the eighth inning of Arizona's 3-0 win on Tuesday.
