Marlins reliever Renyel Pinto placed on DL with left elbow injury
The Florida Marlins placed reliever Renyel Pinto on the 15-day disabled list before Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Pinto, who has inflammation in his left elbow, was put on the disabled list retroactive to May 23. Right-hander Cristhian Martinez was recalled from Double-A Jacksonville.
Pinto, who didn't make the trip to Philadelphia, is 2-0 with a 2.53 ERA in 24 appearances.
Martinez pitched two innings and took the loss in his major league debut last week against Arizona.
