NEW YORK (Reuters) - Minnesota Twins catcher and American League MVP Joe Mauer won the most votes from fans among players in the starting line-up for the 81st All-Star game announced by Major League Baseball (MLB) on Sunday.

Joining Mauer on the American League roster for the July 13 game in Anaheim is Twins team mate Justin Morneau at first base.

The New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays also have two starters on the roster. The Yankees send double play tandem Robinson Cano at second base and shortstop Derek Jeter, and the Rays are represented by third baseman Evan Longoria and outfielder Carl Crawford.

He is joined by Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina as the only team mates on the starting National League roster.

The other National League starters are Chase Utley of the Philadelphia Phillies at second base, Hanley Ramirez of the Florida Marlins at shortstop, David Wright of the New York Mets at third base and outfielders Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers, Andre Ethier of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Jason Heyward of the Atlanta Braves.
