CLEVELAND, Ohio (Reuters) - Persistent rain forced the game between the Texas Rangers and Cleveland Indians on Monday to be postponed.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday.
The Rangers (76-60) trail the Boston Red Sox by 2- games in the American League wild card race.
Texas have lost their two past games and are without injured outfielder Josh Hamilton (back) and leading hitter Michael Young (hamstring).
Indians (60-76) rookie pitcher Carlos Carrasco is scheduled to make his second major league start against Texas right hander Tommy Hunter.
