Matt Stairs, Padres agree to minor league deal
Outfielder Matt Stairs and the San Diego Padres have agreed to a minor league deal.
Stairs, who turns 42 in February, has spent last year and the final month of the 2008 season with Philadelphia, serving primarily as a pinch-hitter.
