Former all-star outfielder Milton Bradley was dealt by the Chicago Cubs to the Seattle Mariners Friday in exchange for pitcher Carlos Silva.
Bradley, who signed a three-year 30 million dollar deal with the Cubs this year, has feuded with manager Lou Piniella, his teammates and the fans.
"We believe he'll be a good fit here," Seattle general manager Jack Zduriencik said.
Bradley hit .257 with 12 homers and 40 RBI before being suspended by Chicago two months ago for the remainder of the season for conduct detrimental to the team
The 31-year-old broke into the majors in 2000 with the Montreal Expos and is a career .277 hitter.
The Mariners will be his eighth Major League Baseball team after having completed short stints with the Expos, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, Rangers and Cubs.
He was picked for the all-star team in 2008.
